Asian Games to eject Iran after FIFA ruling

Because FIFA has suspended Iran from international competitions, organisors of the Asian Games in Dofor are assuming that Iran's U-23 team must be now be ejected. "They cannot take part in the Asian Games," director of football competition Saud al-Mohannadi told N. D. Prashant of Gulf Times. He added that Asian Football Confederation delegates in Qatar have already confirmed that the ban will be applicable to the Asian Games and they will be meeting on Friday to change the draw. "I have spoken to the AFC delegates here and according to them Iran’s suspension will stay for the Asian Games as well, al-Mohannadi said. "We will have to make some changes again to the draw. It is disappointing but we can’t help it."
