Binh Duong TV Cup attracts four foreign clubs

Vietnam's annual Binh Duong TV Cup football tournament will kick off on 30 November in Binh Duong province with eight club teams involved, four of them coming from abroad. Four domestic squads including three top-flight V-League teams Dong Tam Long An (DTLA), host Binh Duong, and Binh Dinh together with the league’s 7th ranked Danang will compete against four foreign teams Matsubara from Brazil, Wuhan (China), FC Busan (Republic of Korea), and Woodland (Singapore).

Matsubara attended the event in 2004 and introduced qualified players such as Kesley Alves and Martin Trindade who later played for V-League clubs. Wuhan is in the top ten clubs of the China League, Woodland is ranking third at the top-tier S-league, while FC Busan is playing in the K2 League.

The total purse of the invitation event is US$40,000 and 16 games of the tournament will be broadcast live on the Binh Duong Television channel.
