European clubs looking at Philippine connections

CFCIA reports that Bundesliga club Alemannia Aachen, a partner the Socceruniversity, has decided to invest in a Philippine football academy with the aim to helping local and also international Filipino players in their career. English Premier League club Portsmouth (with a Filipino national player Matthew Hartman) is also reportedly looking for a partnership with an association or club in the Philippines. Chelsea FC has just published a story on its reserves player, Phillip Younghusband, 19, who scored 4 goals for the Philippines in its 7-0 defeat of Timor-Leste in their ASEAN Football Federation Championships qualifying group.
