Man U pioneers collectable DVD Player "Cardz"

International DVD Card producer, Serious has renewed its license with English Premier League club Manchester United, reported Soccer Investor. Years ago players use to feature on cigarette cards now a lot of information about a player including video and sound can be stored on digital cards for fans to collect. The deal grants Serious the rights to continue to make collectable player DVD Cardz for the club. DVD Cardz are rectangular DVDs that look like trading cards, but playback in DVD players and drives and PS2/Xbox consoles). Serious will launch the 2007 Wayne Rooney DVD Card on 1 December, available at www.store.manutd.com. Four more cardz will then follow in the New Year.
